He is a reputed Respiratory Medicine specialist awarded the prestigious Padma Shri award. His expertise lies in Tuberculosis (TB) Treatment, Bullectomy, Bronchitis Treatment, Respiratory Conditions, Lung Surgery, Respiratory Tract Infection, Obesity-Related Lung Diseases, Chest Disease Treatment, Mediastinoscopy, Decortication, Lung Abscess, and Lobectomy. Dr. Behera has a professional membership with the International Society for the Study of Lung Cancer, the Indian Society for the Study of Lung Cancer, the European Respiratory Society, the Association of Physicians of India, the Indian Chest Society, Indian Society of Oncology, American Society for Clinical Oncology, European Society for Medical Oncology, Asia Pacific Society for Respirology, International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases (The Union), and Academy of Medical Sciences.
