About Dr. John Chia Dr. John Chia is an oncologist having more than 20 years of expertise. Services provided by him includes ovarian, cervical, colorectal, nasopharyngeal and breast cancer. Dr. John Chia earned his medical and surgical degrees with honours from the National University of Singapore in 1999, and in 2002, he was admitted as a member of the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh. Dr. Chia is a founding board member of the Gynecologic Cancer Group Singapore and the chair of its scientific subcommittee. He served as the former chief of the gynaecology oncology service in the division of medical oncology at the National Cancer Centre. In addition to being an adjunct associate professor at Duke-NUS, he serves on the councils of the Academy of Medicine and the College of Clinician Scientists. He serves on the Scientific Board of the International Aspirin Foundation internationally, and he gives numerous talks in countries like Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, China, and the UK, as well as at plenary symposiums in places like Germany, Australia, and ESMO Asia. Dr. Chia has created various study protocols and clinical trials for ovarian, cervical, colorectal, nasopharyngeal, and breast cancer in Singapore.  He has published widely in prestigious international journals. Among thousands of entries, his tumor-specific cancer vaccination study won “Best Poster” at the European Society of Medical Oncology in Milan in 2010. More recently, in 2017, his clinical trial for aggressive ovarian cancer won “Best Poster” at ESMO Asia. Dr. John Chia is fluent in English.
