He completed his MBBS from Karnatak Medical College, Hubli, Karnataka, MD in Pediatrics from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, and DM in Neurology at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru.  After that, he completed MRCPCH in UK and was trained at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Bristol Children’s Hospital as a Fellow in Pediatric Neurology, Bristol, UK. He is a member of various associations such as the International Child Neurology Association(ICNA), Association of Child Neurology, Indian Academy of Neurology (IAN) India, and Indian Academy of Paediatrics.
