About Dr. Alex KH Ooi Dr. Alex KH Ooi is a senior obstetrician and gynecologist having more than 30 years of expertise. Services provided by him includes cancer screening, general gynecology, hysteroscopic and open surgery, management of urine incontinence and menopause, minimally invasive surgery, pregnancy care and ultrasonography. He pursued both MBBS and MMED (O&G) from Singapore. Dr. Ooi helped set up the hospital’s two state-of-the-art (keyhole) minimally invasive surgery (MIS) operating rooms while serving on the medical board of Mount Elizabeth Hospital. Additionally, he has talked on safety in MIS at a gynaecology congress in Australia and exhibited and displayed total laparoscopic hysterectomy at the renowned Fudan University in Shanghai. He also helped build up MIS at ZH Sikder Women’s Medical College & Hospital in Dhaka. He collaborates well with others and has actively co-led educational workshops and seminars.  Dr. Ooi is passionate about giving back to the community and has worked as a volunteer at the hospice care association, Methodist Welfare Society, Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society Free Clinic, and Rotary and other charitable events. Previously, he served as Tan Tock Seng Hospital’s vice director. Dr. Alex KH Ooi is fluent in English, Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, and Hokkien.
