About Dr. Jeffrey Chew Dr. Jeffrey Chew is an orthopedic surgeon having more than 33 years of expertise. Services provided by him includes hip and knee joint replacements and treatment of arthritis. Dr. Jeffrey Chew earned his undergraduate degree in 1989 from the National University of Singapore and his postgraduate degree in 1994. Dr. Chew performs robotic joint replacements using the Makoplasty robot. He further treats sports-related hip and knee problems. The Scoliosis Research Society gave Dr. Chew the Russell Hibbs prize, along with many scholarships, to undertake biomechanics research at the Mayo Clinic Biomechanics Laboratory, where he is examining patello femoral tracking on various knee designs. He completed his studies in joint replacement surgery at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine, Adult Reconstructive Division, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Jeffrey Chew is fluent in English, Mandarin, Malay, Hokkien, and Bahasa Indonesia.
