About Dr. Lim Mui Hong Dr. Lim Mui Hong is an orthopedic surgeon having more than 22 years of expertise. Services provided by him includes management of sports injuries and arthroscopic and open treatment of knee and shoulder conditions. He addresses issues such shoulder instability, rotator cuff injuries, cruciate ligament tears, cartilage and meniscus tears, multiple ligament knee injuries, patellar instability, and osteoarthritis of the knee and shoulder. Dr. Lim attended NUS for his undergraduate studies, where he graduated in 1997, after receiving the Local Study Award (Medicine) from the SAF in 1992. He earned his orthopaedic surgery master’s degree in 2002 and finished his advanced specialist training in that field in 2007. He is a Fellow of the Singapore Academy of Medicine. Dr. Lim had held a number of positions in the public sector before entering private practise. He was the Head of the Sports Medicine and Surgery Service at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and a Senior Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon. While serving in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), Dr. Lim held a variety of responsibilities, including that of Head of the Soldier Performance Center at the Deputy Commander Military Medicine Institute. He has taken part in numerous missions for humanitarian aid, disaster relief, and peacekeeping. He is still making contributions as a visiting consultant and an active NSman. Dr. Lim also conducts clinical research and has produced several academic publications as well as a textbook chapter. He reviews articles for several peer-reviewed publications. He has trained medical professionals through fellowships abroad and the orthopaedic surgery residency programme. He contributes as a faculty member for courses and routinely makes presentations at scientific conferences. Dr. Lim Mui Hong is fluent in English, Mandarin, Hokkien, Malay, Cantonese, and Teochew.
