About Dr. Loh Poh Yen Dr. Loh Poh Yen is a gastroenterologist having more than 20 years of expertise. Services provided by him includes managing complex gastroenterology and general medical problems, which are often interrelated and need holistic approach in the management, and many more. He has a particular interest in the treatment of severe liver disorders and viral hepatitis. He has experience treating complicated digestive, liver, and general medical issues, which are frequently connected and call for all-encompassing methods to treatment. In 1999, Dr. Loh Poh Yen earned his degree from the University of Malaya. He received his first study in medicine in Malaysia, and in 2006, he graduated with a Master of Medicine from National University of Singapore and became a member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP). He is one of the few medical professionals in Singapore who hold dual specialisation accreditation from the Ministry of Health (gastroenterology and internal medicine). Dr. Loh relocated to Singapore to complete his advanced internal medicine and gastrointestinal studies. At Taiwan’s Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, he received more training in liver transplantation. He had previously worked as a consultant at Changi General Hospital, where he treated patients for gastroenterological and general medical conditions. Young doctors were actively being trained by Dr. Loh. He served as a clinical senior lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at NUS and as core faculty for the senior residency programme for aspiring gastroenterologists run by SingHealth.
