About Dr. Edwin Tan Dr. Edwin Tan is an orthopedic surgeon having more than 15 years of expertise. Services provided by him includes Sports and Reconstructive Surgery, with a special interest in the upper limb and knee. In addition to earning his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from NUS in 2004, Dr. Edwin Tan also received his Masters of Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery from the same institution in 2013, and his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2014. He received the HMDP funding for a one-year fellowship programme at Imperial College, London, while working as a physician in Singapore General Hospital. He received the title of Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School while he was a physician at Singapore General Hospital and was given several appointments within the department and the university. The Department Quality Officer, the Singhealth Procedural Safety Workgroup, and the Focus Area Subcommittee for patient safety, care transition, and supervision are included in this. Additionally, he served as a professor for various courses, including Advanced Arthroscopy of the Shoulder and Knee and AOTrauma Advanced Principles of Fracture Management. He has travelled far throughout Asia-Pacific to conduct surgeries since he has a keen interest in Sports and Reconstructive surgery. He has helped patients return to their level of competitive sports and quality of life, performing joint replacement surgeries in China and reconstructing the knee ligaments of national sportsmen in Papua New Guinea. Dr. Edwin Tan is fluent in English, Hokkien, Teochew, and Mandarin.
