About Dr. Chuah Sai Wei Dr. Chuah Sai Wei is a gastroenterologist having more than 15 years of expertise. Her clinical specialisations include the treatment of liver and gastrointestinal disorders, and she also has expertise in inflammatory bowel disease. She regularly conducts operations such capsule endoscopy, colonoscopy, and diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy. She pursued her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from University of Glasgow, UK. At Addenbrooke’s Hospital in the UK, Dr. Chuah received advanced fellowship training in gastroenterology in the field of inflammatory bowel disease. She was once the director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center and a consultant at Singapore General Hospital’s gastroenterology and hepatology department (SGH). She was also a visiting consultant at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.  Dr. Chuah served as co-chair of the executive committees of the SingHealth Transition Care Workgroup and the Centre for Digestive and Liver Diseases at SGH. Dr. Chuah served as the SingHealth Gastroenterology Senior Residency Program’s key faculty member in education. She has delivered lectures as a guest speaker at conferences and seminars that have taken place locally and regionally. She also participated actively in clinical research and has won numerous grants for this endeavour. Dr. Chuah is fluent in English, Hokkien, Malay, Mandarin, and Teochew.
