About Dr. Chong Keen Wai Dr. Chong Keen Wai is an orthopedic surgeon having more than 18 years of expertise. Services provided by him includes foot and ankle surgery, especially in correcting ankle arthroscopy and ankle replacement surgery. Dr. Chong graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and a Master of Medicine in orthopaedic surgery (NUS). In orthopaedic surgery, he also joined and was made a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. He then received a Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) award to travel to Germany to complete specialist training in trauma and reconstructive surgery, as well as reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. Previously, Dr. Chong worked as an orthopaedic consultant at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH). He started the foot and ankle fellowship training programme there, which has helped to prepare numerous local surgeons.  Dr. Chong has received gold membership status for his efforts and is a faculty member of AOTrauma. He participates in the Dragon total knee replacement trial together with roughly 20 other surgeons from Asia. He also plays a significant role in shaping Asia-Pacific views on the application of radiofrequency coblation technology to the minimally invasive management of tendon injuries and heel discomfort. Dr. Chong Keen Wai is fluent in English, and Mandarin.
