About Dr. Benedict Raj Dr. Benedict Raj is a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at Sparsh Hospitalâs Infantry Road unit. He is an MBBS alumnus of the prestigious Madurai Medical College. Post his graduation in 1991, he pursued an MS in General Surgery and an MCh (CTS) from the Madras Medical College, MGR Medical University. Dr. Benedict Raj has also completed a fellowship in Paediatric Cardiac Surgery and undergone a year-long advanced training in high-risk paediatric cardiac surgery from CHW, Sydney, Australia. He has nearly two decades of industry experience in the field of Cardiac Surgery and Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery. The doctor performs an average of 400 surgeries every year, out of which 75% are paediatric cardiac cases. He is a volunteer for Childrenâs Heart Link for whom he also delivers lectures. Dr. Benedict has also written several publications and is a senior speaker in numerous medical conferences. He is a life member of the Indian Medical Association and Indian Association of Cardiothoracic Surgeons.
