About Dr. med. Georg Arlt Dr. med. Georg Arlt is a Berlin-based General & Visceral Surgeon with experience of more than 36+ years. He is a member of reputed organizations such as the Association of Northwest German Surgeons, International Society of Surgery, German Society for Surgery, German Society for General and Visceral Surgery, Medical Society of the RWTH Aachen, German Hernia Society, European Hernia Society, and Society for Nature and Medicine Berlin He studied protestant theology and human medicine at the University of Hamburg in 1974 and later did his surgical training at the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf.  He received his doctorate in 1988, and in 1995, habilitation and license to teach surgery at the University Clinic of RWTH Aachen University. His focus is on experimental and clinical research on the pathophysiology of the stomach, the pathophysiology of the extrahepatic biliary tract, and hernia surgery, with a focus on the surgery of chronic postoperative groin pain. He resumes serving in the domain of general surgery while also writing articles in state and national journals.
