About Dr. Lee Kwan-sik Dr. Lee Kwan-sik is a well-experienced Medical Gastroenterologist based in Seoul, South Korea with 40+ years in the field. He is the Executive Director of the Korean Liver Cancer Research Association, President of the Korean Liver Cancer Research Association, the Korean Liver Association, Chairman of the revision of guidelines for hepatitis B treatment of the Korean Liver Association, and more. He has had many TV appearances including KBS’s Secret of Life and Death, Vitamins, Ask Anything, Happy Charge Baek Se-in, SBS Nightline, Knowing is Power, etc. He graduated from the Yonsei University College of Medicine in 1981 and pursued his M.S. at the same organization in 1984. He also pursued his Ph.D. courses at Yonsei University College of Medicine in 1993 and later was selected by the Dong-A Ilbo in 2001, the best doctor in the field of liver disease. He began research on liver fibrosis (cirrhosis process) specialized for the first time in Korea and continued his research activities. Dr. Lee holds expertise in liver cancer, biliary tract, pancreas, biliary tract, pancreatic cancer, treatment endoscopy, ultrasound endoscopy, intestinal tuberculosis, small intestine diseases, etc. He has over 100 papers national and abroad related to gastroenterology and liver disease.
