About Dr. Hyun-Sik Gong Dr. Hyun-Sik Gong is an illustrious Orthopaedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon based in Seongnam, South Korea with 24+ years in the field. He is an active member of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He is also a Board member of the Korean Society for Surgery of the Hand (2010-now), the Korean Microsurgery Society (2010-now), the Korean College of Rheumatology (2014-now), the Korean Society for Bone and Mineral Research (2014-now), and the Korean Spinal Cord Society (2014-now). Dr. Gong has received numerous awards including first prize for clinical research given by the Korean Orthopedic Association, 1st prize for oral presentation by the Korean Society of Bone Metabolism, etc. He completed his graduation from Seoul National University College of Medicine in 1996 and pursued a Ph.D. in Orthopedic Surgery from the same university in 2006. His specialties are Hand, wrist, and elbow diseases, Orthopedic Surgery, Orthopedics, Joint Replacement Surgery & Arthroscopy. He has more than 150 publications to his credit in various journals nationally and internationally.
