About Dr. Choi Hyuk-soon Dr. Choi Hyuk-soon is a Medical Gastroenterologist in Seoul, South Korea with 16+ years in the field. He is a Life Member of the Korean Medical Association, the Korean Society of Gastrointestinal EndoscopyKorean College of Helicobacter and Upper Gastrointestinal Research, and also the Korean Association for the Study of Intestinal Diseases (KASID). He has been the Director of the Korean Society of Medical Robotics, Education Committee, Vice Secretary-General, Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (KSGE), Evaluation committee, National Research Foundation of Korea, Ministry of Science and ICT, and more. He has received several accolades for his work in the field including IDEN, Best Poster Award, The 62nd Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Best Oral Presentation Award, K-NOTES, Best Presentation Award, etc. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Medicine from Korea University College of Medicine in 2004 and Master of Science in Medicine from the same university in 2009. He also pursued his Ph.D. Degree from Korea University in 2012. His clinical interests are management of end-stage liver disease/cirrhosis, colon cancer, liver transplant, Fatty liver disease/NASH, Management of Gastrointestinal bleeding, Luminal therapeutic endoscopy, etc. Dr. Choi has several publications in national and international journals.
