Arash Akhavan, MD, FAAD is a board certified dermatologist, practicing cosmetic dermatology in New York City for over 15 years. As the owner of The Dermatology and Laser Group on Park Ave and 60th Street, Dr. Akhavan specializes in non-invasive and minimally invasive procedures of the face, neck, and body. In addition to cosmetic procedures we also specialize in mole removal, skin cancer screening and management, and the treatment of acne and rosacea.

Dr. Arash Akhavan is a graduate of Cornell University and The Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he also served as Chief Resident in Dermatology. He is a nationally renowned expert cosmetic injector, and a consultant and key opinion leader for several cosmetic device companies. Arash Akhavan, MD is a faculty member of Allergan Medical Institute (AMI), where he helps other injectors in New York City and nationally learn the most advanced Botox injection and filler injection techniques. Dr. Akhavan’s position with companies such as Allergan (the maker of Botox), BTL (the maker of Emsculpt and Emface) and other cosmetic companies, also allows us to have access to the most cutting-edge cosmetic lasers and products.

He also loves teaching Cosmetic Dermatology to current and future dermatologists and other physicians, serving as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at The Mount Sinai Medical Center.
