About Dr. Abhay Kapoor Dr. Abhay Kapoor is a well known Interventional Radiologist, with experience of over 15 years. He is adept in interventions of Liver Disease and Pain Management. Besides, he deals with Difficult Liver Ablations, Transarterial Therapies to treat Hepatocellular Carcinoma, Tissue Sampling-FNAC and Biopsy. He is the recipient of International Scholarship – APSCVIR, 2018, ISVIR International Travel Grant, 2017, Award for Best Poster IFUMB (Delhi), 2012, Invest in Youth- ECR, 2012 award, Dr Iqbal Young Scientist Research Award- Indian Society of Vascular & Interventional Radiology (ISVIR, Trivandrum), 2011, Certificate of Merit for Best Educational Exhibit- ECR, 2011. He has also taken part in workshops and conferences and presented 36 papers at IRIA, ISVIR, RSNA, ECR, KCR and SIR including Posters and Educational Exhibits. He is a member of numerous prestigious associations which include: Indian Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (ISVIR), Society of Interventional Radiology USA), Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CRISE),Asia Pacific Congress of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (APSCVIR), Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA), Indian College of Radiology and Imaging (ICRI), Indian Society of Paediatric Radiology (ISPR), European Society of Radiology (ESR), Korean Society of Ultrasound in Medicine and Marine Medical Society. He takes keen interest in research and has 67 publications to his credit in noted National and International Journals. After graduating with MBBS from Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital Mumbai in 1998, he pursued MD in Radiology in INHS Asvini, Mumbai in 2008. Thereafter, he did a Fellowship in Interventional Radiology from Medanta-The Medicity in 2014.
