Dr Abhishek Kumar is a highly skilled consultant interventional cardiologist based in Wigan. With over 20 years’ experience, Dr Kumar is a leading expert in all aspects of chest pain, palpitations, breathlessness, heart failure, angina, and high blood pressure (hypertension). Dr Kumar currently sees private patients via e-Consultation.

Dr Kumar originally qualified from the University of Delhi in 2001 before relocating to the UK. Since then, Dr Kumar has been appointed a consultant interventional cardiologist at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust, where he also serves as clinical director and as the research lead for the whole medical division. Dr Kumar provides cardiology services at Manchester Royal Infirmary, as well, since 2017.

Dr Kumar, who is on the GMC’s specialist registrar for cardiology, is also a dedicated trainer recognised by the GMC.
