About Dr. Abid Showkat Zargar Dr. Abid Showkat Zargar is a Gastroenterologist, based in Dubai with 15+ years of experience. His areas of clinical expertise lie in Hepatitis, Fatty liver, Cirrhosis of the liver, Dyspepsia, motility Gastrointestinal disorders like esophageal achalasia, IBS, colonic inertia as well as common GI problems like Gastroesophageal reflux, chronic diarrhea, abdominal pain, abdominal cancer, Inflammatory Bowel Disease patients (Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis). Dr. Abid has completed his graduation from the reputed Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, India, followed by a Diploma in Gastroenterology from the Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, India. Later, he did a Fellowship in gastroenterology from the prestigious Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, India. He has both national and international publications under his credit. He is actively invited as a guest speaker in scientific meetings, Conferences, CDE’s, worldwide conferences to talk about the diseases of the digestive system and its management. The Gastroenterologist has received the reputed Asian Young Endoscopist Award (AYEA) in Seoul, South Korea.
