About Dr. Amany Talaat Girgis Dr. Amany Talaat Girgis is a Gastroenterologist, based in Dubai with 25+ years of experience. Her area of clinical expertise lies in the management of  Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) &, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) including all types of rare conditions of the Gut. She has treated conditions of viral hepatitis & cirrhosis, fatty & immune liver diseases including obesity-related liver problems including cancer surveillance. Dr. Girgis has completed her graduation and post-graduation from Internal medicine from Ain Shams University, Egypt. Later, she obtained a fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians. She is a member of the Egyptian Society of Gastroenterology, Emirates Society of Gastroenterology, Royal College of Physicians & the British Society of Gastroenterology.  The Gastroenterologist has worked earlier in some of the top-notch hospitals such as Dundee Hospitals, UK, Ain Shams University Hospitals, Alzahra Hospital, Sharjah, Dr. Sulaiman Alhabib Hospital DHCC, Dubai.  She is an expert in fibroscan examination for liver fibrosis & steatosis & has successfully managed Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) &, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) including all types of rare conditions of the Gut.
