About Dr. Ameer S Theruvath Dr. Ameer S Theruvath is a reputed Spine Surgeon, with experience of more than 15+ years. In his career, he has performed more than 600 spine surgeries. He is skilled in performing all kinds of spine surgeries ranging from simple Disc surgeries to complex Spine deformity corrections.  He takes a special interest in performing scoliosis surgery and conducts the Rajagiri Hospital Scoliosis Program (RHSP) to perform scoliosis surgery on children from underprivileged families at a subsidized rate.  He is known as one of the only three qualified and MCI registered spine surgeons in Kerala. He also spearheaded the team to set up state-of-the-art Spine surgery units at Rajagiri Hospital with all modern amenities including real-time intraoperative Neuro-monitoring facilities to improve surgical safety and 3 D computer Navigation for enhanced surgical precision. He is also associated with research and has published papers in noted medical journals. He has penned chapters in textbooks of spine surgery and is also an Editorial committee member of e-Learn SCI, an initiative of International Spinal Cord Society, London.
