About Dr. Ameya Udyavar Dr. Ameya Udyavar is a cardiac electrophysiologist with 20+ years of experience. He completed MBBS from the University of Mumbai, Mumbai, DNB in cardiology from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Mumbai, DM in cardiology from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Mumbai and MD in medicine from Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Hospital, Mumbai. He is a member of the Association of Physicians of India (API), Cardiology Society of India and Indian Heart Rhythm Society. He won the Young Investigator Award at the Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society Meeting in 2006. His areas of interest include treatment of heart failure, ischaemic heart disease, Coronary Angioplasty, Coronary Angiography, Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator implantation (AICD), Permanent pacemaker implantation (Single or Dual Chamber), prevention and treatment of heartbeat problems including AF, VT and SVT. He has published 32 research publications. Dr. Udyavar completed his training in cardiac electrophysiology and devices at Taiwan and Australia. He is one of the few cardiac Electrophysiologist in Mumbai who specializes in –mapping of arrhythmias and ablation of atrial fibrillation (AF) and scar VT.
