About Dr. Amit Sengupta Dr. Amit Sengupta is a Gynaecologist and Obstetrician with extensive experience of 31+ years in the field. He has been a crucial member of organizations such as the International Reproductive Bioengineering Society (Israel), Biomedical Engineering Society India, Indian Medical Association, Romanian Ob-Gyn, and he has also been the Honorary trustee, visiting community health advisor & gynecologist at Vivekananda Tribal Hospital, India, since 2000. Along with this, he has acted as the Mentor, advisor and project coordinator on women empowerment and comprehensive health development for poor tribal women in RKSS, a non-governmental organization, Jagdalpur. He has completed his Bachelor of Medicine from the University College Medical Science, Delhi University in 1981, Doctor of Medicine, Delhi University in 1985, Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering from Indan Institute of Technology, Delhi in 1995. Dr. Sengupta also went on to accomplish a Diploma (honorary) from Romanian Obs-Gyn Sc, Bucharest. His areas of expertise include Uterine Fibroids or Myomas, Ovarian Cysts, Endometriosis, Pelvic Organ Prolapse, Subfertility, Menopause, Gynaecological Cancers, Abnormal Pap Smears – Pre-Invasive Cervical/Vaginal Disease, Vulva Conditions, etc.
