About Dr. Ang Kian Chuan Dr. Ang Kian Chuan is an orthopedic surgeon having more than 30 years of expertise. Services provided by him includes arthroscopy, cartilage repair, computer guided surgery and knee/hip replacement. Dr. KC Ang received his education from the University of Melbourne’s Melbourne Medical School (1990). After finishing advanced orthopaedic training, he was the first member of the cohort to earn a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) (1995). Additionally, he has undertaken clinical fellowships in shoulder and elbow surgery in Australia, as well as fellowships in knee and sports medicine in the UK. Dr. Ang specialises in the treatment of osteoarthritis and joint problems as well as sports injuries to the knee and shoulder. Most of his work involves arthroscopy or keyhole surgery because he is an ardent supporter of computer-assisted and minimally invasive joint replacement surgery. He has taken a leading role in educating local doctors about knee and shoulder arthroscopy. He oversees a sports medicine clinic for National University of Singapore undergraduates and serves as the team doctor for a number of rugby and sports teams and associations in Singapore. Dr. Ang Kian Chuan is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Malay.
