About Dr. Anun Vongthongsri Dr. Anun Vongthongsri is a well-known Ophthalmologist in Bangkok, Thailand. He has 24 years of experience in his field. He was the first Thai and South East Asia Ophthalmologist to be elected for a clinical fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at Washington University Eye Center at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. His area of expertise is Refractive Surgery. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, International Society of Refractive Surgery, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, Cornea Society of Thailand, Thai Glaucoma Society, Thai Medical CouncilMember, Washington University Alumni Association, Chulalongkorn University Alumni Association,  Ramathibodi Hospital Alumni Association, and Prince of Songkla University Alumni Association. In his fellowship, he has been involved in many clinical studies regarding PRK and Lasik Surgery using Excimer Laser. He was the first Thai Doctor to be certified in Refractive Surgery and was very well recognized as the leader in the refractive surgery area. He was recognized as the fist ASEA Ophthalmologist performing Keratoprosthesis (artificial cornea).
