About Dr. Aravind Kumar Dr. Aravind Kumar Patrick is an orthopedic surgeon having more than 10 years of expertise. Services provided by him includes tumours, degenerative conditions (spinal stenosis, cervical myelopathy and scoliosis), fractures, slipped discs, and back and neck pain. He also has extensive experience in spinal surgery including minimally invasive spinal surgery. His specialty is in spine surgery. Dr. Kumar underwent orthopaedic surgery training in the UK after graduating from Madras Medical College in India. He underwent higher training in Cardiff after completing his bachelor’s degree and eventually earned his fellowship from the UK’s Royal College of Surgeons. He then underwent training in spinal surgery and worked for 18 months at the Cardiff spine centre. Fellowships in spinal surgery were then completed, first at the Nottingham Spinal Unit in the UK and later at the Royal Perth Hospital in Australia. He is a fellow of Glasgow, Scotland’s Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. In addition to his clinical work, he is currently an adjunct assistant professor at the National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Regarding spinal surgery, Dr. Kumar has published a number of articles and given presentations abroad. The KTPH Clinical Service Champion Award has been given to him for the past two years. Dr. Aravind Kumar is fluent in English, Hindi, and Tamil.
