About Dr. Arun Thangaraj With 17+ years of experience, Dr. Arun Thangaraj is one of the finest Surgical Gastroenterologists in UAE. He has performed 4000 upper GI endoscopies, 800 colonoscopies, 100 variceal ligations and sclerotherapies, 50 PEG procedures and endoscopic dilatations and 25 colonoscopic polypectomies and nasojejunal tube placements, 10 argon plasma coagulation and 60 ERCP and a few EUS. He has helped 64 Liver transplants (62 cadaver donors and 2 living donors) in pretransplant assessment and post-transplant care till date. He specializes in Liver transplants, Upper GI Endoscopy, Colonoscopic Polypectomy and Nasojejunal tube placement. He is a member of the European Society of Liver Diseases (EASL), the Indian Medical Association (IMA), the Association of Physicians of India (API), the Indian Society of Gastroenterology (ISG) – TN chapter and the Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy of India (SGEI). Dr. Arun Thangaraj has several international publications, essays, and presentations to his name. He has completed MBBS (1997) from Coimbatore Medical College, India.
