About Dr. Ashok Borisa Dr. Ashok Borisa is a well-known General & Laparoscopic Surgeon with 21+ years in the field. He is a Member of the Indian Medical Association and Maharastra Medical Council. He has performed more than 10,000 Laparoscopic procedures including Basic and advanced Laparoscopic surgeries and complex Gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary surgeries. He completed MBBS from Government Medical College, Mumbai in 1999, and later went on to accomplish MS – General Surgery – Topiwala National Medical College & BYL Nair Charitable Hospital in 2003. He has been awarded the Best Asst Professor at Grant Medical College and Sir J J group of Hospitals in 2008, and also the 1st prize for the Best poster (Central ameloblastoma of Mandible), at MASICON 2010, Solapur. Dr. Borisa has several Fellowships such as Hepatobiliary Surgery in Dept of Surgical Gastroenterology & Liver Transplantation at Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi, Minimal Access Surgery (F.M.A.S) from AMASIAssociation of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons (FIAGES) from IAGES. He is also a writer and has penned several books and articles in national and international journals.
