About Dr Bernard Lin Kuo Hung Dr Bernard Lin Kuo Hung is an orthopaedic surgeon having more than 20 years of expertise. Services provided by him includes Shoulder and knee arthroscopic (keyhole) and open surgery, sports injuries and shoulder and knee joint replacements. He earned his undergraduate degree from NUS in 2000 and his M.D. from NUS in orthopaedic surgery in 2006. The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh later awarded him his MRCS and FRCS in orthopaedic surgery.  Dr. Lin has given presentations at several conferences and written in peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, he wrote a chapter for the book “Shoulder Instability: A Comprehensive Approach” (Elsevier, 2011).  Dr. Lin’s clinical interests in arthroscopic and open surgery for shoulder and knee conditions. Among the specialised procedures performed are the repair of shoulder rotator cuff tears, the treatment of shoulder instability, the replacement of the shoulder and knee joints, and arthroscopic restoration of knee ligament damage. He has received hip arthroscopy fellowship training. Along with basic sports injuries, he also specialises in injuries to the elbow, hip, and ankle joints from athletics. Dr. Lin worked as a consultant at TTSH’s Orthopaedic Surgery Department and Division of Sports Medicine and Surgery before moving to Raffles Hospital. He belongs to The International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery, and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and is an international member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He received the HMDP fellowship and underwent clinical fellowship training in orthopaedic sports medicine and surgery at the Concordia Hospital for Special Surgery in Italy. Dr. Lin served as a Visiting Fellow in January 2011 in the Orthopaedic Department of Japan Tohoku University’s Shoulder Service under Professor Eiji Itoi. In December 2011, he also received the Belgium Hip Arthroscopy Traveling Fellowship Award. Dr Bernard Lin Kuo Hung is fluent in English.
