Dr. Brendan J. Camp

Brendan J. Camp, MD, specializes in medical dermatology and cosmetic surgery at Medical Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery (MDCS) in New York. He treats patients with conditions such as acne, skin cancer, and psoriasis, and performs procedures including excisions, neurotoxin injections, dermal fillers, and laser treatments.

Dr. Camp believes in caring for his patients as he would his loved ones. “I approach every patient like I would a member of my immediate family, and I want all my patients to leave our office better than when they walked in,” he says.

“I respect their time and goals, I’m very thorough in the physical exam and diagnostic processes, and I make sure that their main concerns are addressed and they’re educated about their condition and what action we’re going to take.”

Dr. Camp earned his medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York, where he was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He finished his training at the University of Chicago Medical Center before completing a three-year dermatology residency at New York–Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center. He completed a one-year dermatopathology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and New York–Presbyterian Hospital. He also holds a BS in biochemistry from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Dr. Camp is a clinical assistant professor of dermatology at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York and a voluntary attending physician at Weill Cornell Medicine. Prior to joining MDCS in 2020, he spent five years as an associate dermatologist with Dermatology Associates of Northern Virginia. He also served as an assistant clinical professor and director of medical student education at George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates in Washington, DC.

Board-certified in both dermatology and dermatopathology, Dr. Camp is a member of professional organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and Dermatologic Society of Greater New York. He is a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology Case Reports.
