About Dr. Candan Gurses Dr. Candan Gürses is a neurologist with 32+ years of experience. Her clinical interests include Epilepsy, Sleep Disorders, Electroencephalography – EEG, Polysomnography, Video EEG monitoring, Invasive EEG monitoring, cortical stimulation and more. She has served as a member of the Turkish Epilepsy Society. Dr. Candan has several publications in SCI-indexed journals; H-index= 20. She is a member of the Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities in International League against Epilepsy (ILAE) since 2017. She has organized the International Epilepsy Congress in Istanbul in 2015. She completed her graduation from Hacettepe University, Ankara in 1987, and residency in neurology from Marmara University, Istanbul in 1995 and fellowship in Epilepsy Surgery from Montreal Neurological Institute, Canada in 1997.
