About

Dr Carl Todd is a highly experienced consultant osteopath who specialises in sports injuries, postural changes, musculoskeletal pain, posture, back pain, hip pain, groin pain, as well as muscle tension, amongst many other osteopathy related conditions. He currently practises at both the King Edward VII’s Hospital and the Opus Biological clinic, which are both located in London. 

Dr Todd, who is also an honorary lecturer at Swansea University as well as being a director at Carl Todd Clinics, impressively obtained a PhD from the University of Gothenburg in 2017, an MSc in sports injury medicine from the University of Sheffield in 2009, and also a BSc in osteopathy from Oxford Brookes University in 2003. Dr Todd is, notably, also a fully certified strength and conditioning specialist. 

In 2005, Dr Todd was appointed as a consultant osteopath by none other than The Football Association, becoming the first ever osteopath to work with the England national football team. He has, to-date in his illustrious medical career, attended a total of four FIFA World Cup football tournaments, three UEFA European Football Championships, and has been on hand to provide his expert osteopathic care for over 200 international games for the English national football side. 

Not only that, but he has also been working at Chelsea Football Club since 2008 as a consultant osteopath and is still, today, part of the first team’s medical support in all competitions that Chelsea Football Club compete in. His mightily impressive medical curriculum includes roles as consultant osteopath at some of the world’s biggest football clubs, including Real Madrid, Manchester United, Liverpool FC, Manchester City FC, and Tottenham Hotspur FC. He worked with Team GB male and female basketball teams at the London 2012 Olympics as well as for British Athletics at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
