About Dr. Chalermrat Bunchorntavakul Dr. Chalermrat Bunchorntavakul is a famous Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist having 20+ years of experience. He is dexterous in performing liver transplant and treating gastrointestinal diseases such as viral hepatitis, cirrhosis etc. His areas of interest are Digestive disorders, Treatment by Endoscopy, and Internal Medicine. He is the acting Medical Director of the Liver Transplant Program for the Excellent Center of Organ Transplantation, Ministry of Public Health. He is member of various esteemed Associations which include Gastroenterological Association of Thailand, Thai Association for the Study of the Liver, Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition of Thailand, and Royal College of Physicians of Thailand He has authored and co-authored over 48 peer-reviewed papers on a variety of GI and liver diseases, especially in the field of viral hepatitis, cirrhosis and liver transplantation. Â He has actively participated in clinical trials and scientific presentations at international meetings. He serves on the editorial boards of Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology, and also as a reviewer for several international journals. He pursued MD (2001) from the faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok (first class honors). He completed a clinical fellowship (Gastroenterology) at Siriraj Hospital, Thailand, and research fellowship (Hepatology and Liver Transplantation) at the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
