About Dr. Chingyiam Panjapiyakul Dr. Chingyiam Panjapiyakul is a well-known Laparoscopic Colo-Rectal Surgeon with +21 years of experience in performing MIS of the abdominal and the GI region. He is a highly qualified surgeon who pursued advanced medical training in Malaysia, Switzerland and Austria. After earning his MD in 1980 from Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University he did a diploma in 1986 from the Thai Board of General Surgery. In 1991, he earned a certification in ‘stapled haemorrhoidectomy and Starr procedure’. in Malaysia. His other major academic milestone was completing a fellowship in laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery in the University of Innsbruck, Austria. Till 2004 he also did two certifications in colorectal surgery in 1994 and bariatrics in 2004. Before his MD he did a certification from the International Society of Surgery, Switzerland and a degree in medical science too in 1978. Dr. Panjapiyakul is an expert laparoscopic surgeon with specialised focus on surgically treating patients that need colo-rectal surgeries. He is particularly sought to perform abdominal surgery and cholecystectomy. Some of the other procedures he performs are, colectomy, colostomy, hemorrhoidectomy, internal sphincterotomy and rectoprexy among a few other procedures.
