About Dr. Chong Chern Hao Dr. Chong Chern Hao is a gastroenterologist having more than 12 years of expertise. Services provided by him includes digestive cancer screening and liver disorders. Dr. Chong earned a dean’s list diploma from the University of Malaya in 2009. He began his basic medical training in Singapore as a house officer and later completed the National University Health System (NUHS) Residency Program there to receive his speciality training in internal medicine and gastroenterology. In 2013, he earned the UK’s Master of Medicine (MMed) and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) degrees. He was accepted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore in 2016 and recognised by the Ministry of Health as a specialist in gastroenterology. He was hired by Woodlands Health Campus as one of the first few medical specialists to help with hospital operation planning after completing his training. In 2017, he oversaw the WHC medical staff as they tested the first medical ward. The Service Excellence Award was given to Dr. Chong in 2019 in recognition of his contributions to the hospital. In order to avoid illness development, Dr. Chong emphasizes disease prevention, early identification, and early treatment. He also believes in providing end-to-end seamless care for all patients. He speaks frequently about liver disease awareness in general practitioner seminars and is an active member of the National Foundation of Digestive Disease (NFDD). Due of his holistic approach, his patients really like him. Dr. Chong Chern Hao is fluent in English, Mandarin, Malay, Cantonese and Hakka.
