About Dr. Christoff Marais Dr. Christoff Marais posseses +14 years of experience as an Orthopaedic & Joint Replacement surgeon with special focus on foot and ankle surgery. He did his MBBS in 2005 from the University of Stellenbosch, and then did his MMed in 2016 from the University of Cape Town and also a fellowship from the College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of South Africa.  He also has a fellowship from the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre – Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital., UK.  Dr. Marais also has a diploma in primary emergency care from the College of Medicine, South Africa. Dr. Marais is an expert at performing ankle replacement surgeries, Morton’s neuroma surgery, Tarsometatarsal fusion, chilectomy of the big toe, calf-lengthening surgery, lateral ligament reconstruction of the ankle, ankle arthroscopy, Weil’s osteotomies, Achilles tendon reconstruction and Hallux valgus correction surgeries. He also treats ankle arthritis, hammer toes and claw toes, cavus feet, flat feet, forefoot pain, midfoot pain, ankle sprains and ankle instability.
