About Dr. Chung Yun Chien Dr. Chung Yun Chien is a Medical Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with more than +15 years of Expertise in the Medical area.  His major interests are in the management of patients with viral hepatitis, autoimmune liver disease, metabolic associated liver disease (fatty liver), liver cirrhosis, and acute/acute-on-chronic liver failure. As a transplant hepatologist, he has extensive expertise handling patients with end-stage liver disease or transplant recipients on the waiting list. In addition, he has experience with both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy for gastrointestinal bleeding (OGDS and Colonoscopy). He is a member of the Malaysian Society of Gastroenterology & Hepatology (MSGH), International Liver Transplant Society (ILTS), Malaysia Society of Transplantation (MST), and Asia Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL), among others. Dr. Chung Yun Chien has obtained MBBS (2007) from the International Medical University, Malaysia. He has done MRCP (2012) from the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, UK. He has done Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology from Malaysia. Dr. Chung Yun Chien is well-versed in English, Hokkien, Cantonese and Bahasa Malaysia.
