About

Craig R. Feuerman, MD, specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation at City Sports Medicine in Manhattan. Dr. Feuerman has special expertise in sports medicine and in non-invasively diagnosing and treating a wide array of musculoskeletal and spinal issues.

Using advanced technologies and therapies such as nerve-conduction testing, electromyography, trigger-point injections, tendon sheath injections, and intra-articular joint injections such as hyaluronic acid, Dr. Feuerman takes a conservative approach to eliminating pain and restoring function to his patients.

“I believe in taking ownership and accountability for our patients and the care we provide,” Dr. Feuerman says. “My relationship with patients is so important, and I always want them to feel comfortable with me and the care we’re providing — and to get involved with their own care.”

He wants patients to know that regardless of their physical issues, he’ll stay by their sides until the problems are addressed.

“We’ll figure out what’s wrong and what the appropriate treatment options are — whether that’s therapeutic injections, an exercise program with a physical therapist, or a referral to a surgeon,” he says. “I’ll be there from start to finish to spell out a treatment plan and do what’s necessary to solve the issue.”

Dr. Feuerman earned his medical degree at the Tel Aviv University Sackler Faculty of Medicine in Israel. He completed a three-year residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at New York University Medical Center’s RUSK Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine. He also holds a BS in business administration from Boston University.

Dr. Feuerman is a Fellow of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with subspecialty board certification in sports medicine.

Dr. Feuerman worked for 14 years as a physiatrist with several private practices in New York before founding City Sports Medicine in 2013. He has since served as the practice president and primary physician. Dr. Feuerman serves as a clinical assistant professor with the Department of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, as well as an assistant attending physician with the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at NYU Langone Hospital–Long Island.
