About Dr. Daniel Chan Dr. Daniel Chan is an oncologist having more than 22 years of expertise. Services provided by him includes breast, lung and colon cancer, lymphoma, neuro-oncology and sarcomas. In 2000, Dr. Chan received his honours degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He completed his training as a medical oncologist in 2008, and from 2010 to 2011, he worked at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and UCLA, where he furthered his clinical knowledge of medical oncology under the tutelage of Professor Phillip Koeffler, a renowned haematologist-oncologist. Dr. Chan worked as a consultant at the National University Cancer Institute before going into private practise. While there, he founded the Neuro-Oncology tumour board and actively participated in the Sarcoma and Lymphoma tumour boards. He also served as the National University of Singapore’s Director of Undergraduate Education for Medical Oncology (NUS).  He has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals, such as Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (USA), Annals of Oncology, and Investigational New Drugs for Many Cancers. He has also written a book chapter on breast cancer. He has served as a co-investigator in a number of drug development trials. Many research honours, including the Overseas Research Fellowship (2010–2011) and New Investigator Grant for research in breast cancer (2012) from the National Medical Research Council, were given to him for his commitment to the field (NMRC). He belongs to both the Connective Tissue Oncology Society (CTOS) of the USA and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). Dr. Daniel Chan is fluent in English, Bahasa, Indonesia, Cantonese, Mandarin, Hokkien, and Malay.
