About

Dr. David Spinner is the new Director of Pain Management at White Plains Hospital. He is double board-certified, specializing in interventional spinal care and musculoskeletal care. He was one of the first physicians in the country to become certified in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasonography, which uses a small probe to translate sound waves from a patient’s soft tissue and bone into real-time images – providing a clearer, more precise picture of exactly what is causing pain.

He also published the first textbook on ultrasound guided musculoskeletal injections, and is an expert in peripheral nerve stimulation.

Prior to joining White Plains Hospital, Dr. Spinner served dual roles as the medical director at Westchester Pain Management and as the director of pain management for the Department of Rehabilitation and Human Performance at Mount Sinai Hospital.

He received his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, with his postgraduate work including an internship at Maimonides Medical Center, a residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and a fellowship at Harvard Medical School’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

In addition to being published in such peer-reviewed journals as Pain Medicine and Pain Practice, Dr. Spinner was the lead editor of Atlas of Ultrasound Guided Musculoskeletal Injections, the first textbook on that topic.
