About Dr. Dennis Ng Zhaowen Dr. Dennis Ng Zhaowen is an orthopedic surgeon having more than 13 years of expertise. Services provided by him includes frozen shoulder, rotator cuff tears, shoulder impingement, shoulder dislocation and instability, shoulder arthritis, upper limb fractures, tennis elbow, as well as knee conditions such as knee cartilage injury, ligament tears (ACL), meniscus tears and knee arthritis. Having handled professional athletes in North America, he has experience in the management of sports injuries. Patients include athletes who compete in sports including cycling, judo, rugby, basketball, soccer, and rock climbing. The National University of Singapore (NUS) is where Dr. Ng received his medical degree in 2007. He then continued his postgraduate studies in orthopaedic surgery, finishing with a master’s degree in 2013. He received a Human Manpower Development Plan scholarship from the Ministry of Health, and at the Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Center in Ontario, Canada, he received specialist training. Dr. Ng was a member of the Sports Medicine Division and the former deputy chairman of the Shoulder & Elbow Division at National University Hospital (NUH). He was an assistant professor at NUS and a member of the core faculty for the NUH Residency Program. He participated in the National Shoulder & Knee Arthroscopy Course planning committee. Dr. Ng has published papers and given abstracts at national and international medical conferences, contributing to the scholarly literature of orthopaedic surgery. Dr. Dennis Ng Zhaowen is fluent in English, Mandarin, Hokkien, and Teochew.
