Dr Elliot Smith is a well-respected consultant cardiologist in London, who specialises in interventional cardiology, coronary heart disease, valvular heart disease, arrhythmia and heart failure. He is a consultant cardiologist at Barts Health NHS Trust and Royal Free London NHS Trust, positions he has held for the last 12 years.

He graduated from University College London, before training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals. He completed specialist cardiology training at the Manchester Royal Infirmary and the London Chest Hospital. He is also a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London

Dr Smith is extremely passionate about research and has conducted and taken part in numerous studies on the treatment of heart attacks. he is currently researching new technologies that can support the heart during surgery and in the treatment of heart failure. His research also includes the many peer-reviewed publications that he has written contributed to.

He was heavily involved in the growth of the London Chest Hospital’s Heart Attack Centre, which has developed into one of the UK’s most important centres of its kind.
