About Dr. Filippos Georgopoulos Dr. Filippos Georgopoulos is a Dubai-based Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with 18+ years of experience. He has completed his graduation from the reputed University of Crete, Greece, followed by Gastroenterology Fellowship training in Athens General Hospital, Greece. Later, he did a clinical fellowship in advanced therapeutic endoscopy and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Scotland. Dr. Filippos holds the title of Fellow of the European Board of Gastroenterology and Hepatology (FEBGH). His area of interest lies in Percutaneous Endoscopic Placement of Gastrostomy Feeding Tubes, Dilation of Strictures, Placement of Stents in Oesophagus, Stomach, Small and Large Intestine, Haemostasis of Gastrointestinal Bleeding using various techniques, Endoscopic Band Ligation for Oesophageal Varices, Capsule Endoscopy, etc The Hepatologist has massive experience in the treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease patients and has been awarded by the prestigious Greek Ministry of Health. He has both national and international publications under his credit and is actively invited as a guest speaker in scientific meetings, Conferences, CDE’s, worldwide conferences to talk about therapeutic endoscopy.
