About Dr. G Vara Prasada Rao Dr. G Vara Prasada Rao is a highly skilled and knowledgeable Surgical Gastroenterologist in Nellore. In the last two decades, he has conducted or assisted in over 20,000 laparoscopic surgeries. He has been practising for the past 20 years, and his specialization includes Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic, Upper GI, Colorectal and Laparoscopic Surgeries. He is a member of the Society of Endoscopic And Laparoscopic Surgeons of India, the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology, the Minimal Access Surgeons of India and the National Academy of Medical Sciences, India. Dr. G Vara Prasada Rao has several publications, journals, and articles to his name.   He has completed an MBBS (1993) from Sri Venkateswara Medical College, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India. He did MS (2003) from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGI), Chandigarh, India. He later pursued DNB (2003) from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, India.  He has a fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS), UK and a Fellowship from the American College of Surgery (FACS), USA.
