Dr. Gary D. Schwartz

Gary Schwartz is board certified in internal medicine and has been in private practice for nearly 30 years. Dr. Schwartz completed his internal medicine residency at UMDNJ at Hackensack University Medical Center, and also had an opportunity as a medical student to do his clinical training in London, England.

Dr. Schwartz has been involved in healthcare since the age of 18. He started out working on an ambulance as an EMT in Brooklyn. He became a registered nurse (RN) and worked in the emergency room before further pursuing his medical degree. In addition to being a senior attending in the department of internal medicine at Hackensack Meridian Health and Holy Name Hospital, he’s also a member of American College of Lifestyle Medicine and the American College of Physicians. His focus of interest includes primary care and preventative medicine.
