About Dr Gaurav Kharya Dr. Gaurav Kharya is one of the finest Hematologists in Gurgaon with an experience of over 17+ years. Dr. Kharya did his MBBS from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur and DCH from Baba Raghav Das Medical College, Gorakhpur. Following   which he did his DNB (Paediatrics) from the eminent Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. He is credited for doing the first haploidentical bone marrow transplant for sickle cell disease in India. He has worked as a fellow in paediatric hematoma-oncology, immunology & bone marrow transplant at The Great North Childrenâs Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom. Dr Kharya has presented many papers in national and international conferences and has published many papers in national and international journals. He is also famed for doing in-vitro TCR alpha beta CD 19 depleted haploidentical BMT in a 4-month-old baby suffering from severe combined immunodeficiency, which is the smallest child transplanted in the country so far. Dr Kharya along with his team has performed more than 600 bone marrow transplants. Dr Gaurav Kharya has his area of interest in alternative donor transplants such as haploidentical transplants and matched or mismatched unrelated donor transplants.
