About Dr. Gautam Allahabadia Dr. Gautam Allahabadia is a highly experienced, and an ace IVF Specialist with +25 years of experience in the field of infertility, OBGYN and reproductive endocrinology. He is a professional member of close to 40 medical societies, some of which are, the Indian Society for Prenatal Diagnosis and Therapy, the Indian Association of Gynecological Endoscopists, the Indian Academy of Human Reproduction and the American Fertility Society among many others. Dr. Allahabadia did his medical studies at the Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College and Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital, Sion. He then did a DGO in 1989 and MD in 1990. The same year, he also earned a fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons and a DFP qualification. In 1991, he earned his DNB qualification from Delhi. He is an expert IVF specialist and OBGYN, specialising in ART procedures, ICSI, IUI and ovulation induction.  Dr. Allahabadia has an incredible record as a medical professional. He is a noted authority in ultrasound-guided embryo transfers and is one of the pioneers of minimal stimulation  IVF (IVF Lite) in South East Asia. He has played a pivotal role in developing new fertility-enhancing protocols and espousing the use of ultrasound in embryo transfer procedures. He has been a lecturer at his alma mater and Bombay Hospital Institute of Medical Sciences. He has been conferred 25 prizes and fellowships, some of which are, the Dr. Kumud Tamaskar award for original research work in infertility and the Canadian Young Scientist Fellowship Award, (1994). In 1996, he received the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst fellowship.  He completed his training at the University of Gottingen, Bielefeld IVF Center & the University of Munich. Dr.  Allahabadia has authored over 150 scientific papers, 24 textbooks, and 126 boook chapters and is also the Editor Emeritus of the Journal of Obstetrics & Gynaecology of India & the IVF Lite (Journal of Minimal Stimulation IVF).
