About Dr. Ho-Seong Han Dr. Ho-Seong Han is a Liver Transplant Surgeon with experience of more than 31 years in the field. He is the President of the Korean Society of Traumatology (2015-Present), Chairman, Korean Society of Laparoscopic & Endoscopic Surgeons(2016-Present), and Co-Chairman of Medical Working Group in APAN, Telemedical activity meeting in Asia(2005–Present). He is also a Member of the Advisory Committee IASGO (International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists & Oncologists) (2008-Present), and Chairman of the Organizing Committee Annual Conferences of Korean Laparoscopic Surgery Update: Postgraduate Course (2006–Present). He graduated with MD from Seoul National University and received his surgical qualification in 1989. From 1989 to 1993, he became the Assistant Professor at Gyeongsang National University Hospital and received a Ph.D. in 1993 at Seoul National University, College of Medicine. Dr. Han has performed a series of laparoscopic anatomical resections of the liver as worldwide first reports, such as mono-segmentectomy of S2, S4, S5, S7, and then S1, S6, and S8 resection. He educates hundreds of surgeons on the standard of minimally invasive surgery of the hepato-biliary and pancreas area.
