About Dr. Hyung-Ho Kim Dr. Hyung-Ho Kim is one of the most renowned Surgical Gastroenterologists in South Korea with over 24 years in the field. He was the very first doctor to perform laparoscopic gastrectomy in Korea in 1996 and the first in the world to accomplish 500 cases of laparoscopic gastrectomy in 2006.  He is a member of the Korean Surgical Society, Director of the Korean Cancer Association, President of the Korean Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Surgery Study (KLASS), Editorial Board of the World Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery. He has also received an Honorary Fellow of Consortium on Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (FoCALS).  Dr. Kim’s area of interest lies in Gastric cancer surgery, Gastrointestinal surgery, Minimally invasive surgery, Abdominal sarcoma, Therapeutic Endoscopy, Chronic liver disease, Acute, and chronic pancreatitis. He has authored more than 150 publications and more than 10 chapters in books.
