About Dr. J. Amalorpavanathan Dr. J. Amalorpavanathan is an experienced Vascular Surgeon with +21 years of experience in the field of performing vascular surgeries. He is a member of the Indian Medical Association. Dr. Amalorpavanathan did his MBBS in 1982 from Madras University, Chennai, then did MS in 1988 and M.Ch in The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University (TNMGRMU) in 2000. He has done a diploma, NBE too.  He has extensive experience in the field of vascular surgery. He treats abdominal aneurysm, aortoiliac disease, deep vein thrombosis, thoracic aortic aneurysm, varicose veins, IVC filter placement, sclerotherapy and lymphedema.  He was a Professor and Head, Institute of Vascular Surgery, Madras Medical College & Consultant Vascular Surgeon , Govt. General Hospital, Chennai.  In Tamil Nadu, he helped to establish and grow the highly successful cadaver organ transplantation programme.  He has also received several awards. Dr. Amalorpavanathan evaluated and suggested measures to the Government of Mauritius to set up a transplant programme in the country.   Dr. Amalorpavanathan actively participates in conferences and workshops to know about various developments in vascular surgery.
